Infrared saunas

Barrel, cube or cabin?

All three are outdoor saunas, and the choice mostly comes down to looks and space. Barrel saunas are the classic round Scandinavian shape, efficient to heat and at home in any garden. Cube saunas have a modern square profile with a large glazed front, and suit contemporary gardens and patios. Cabin saunas look like a small garden room and come with the Harvia The Wall heater.

The Barrel and Cube ranges take an electric Harvia Cilindro heater, including a Wi-Fi version you can control from your phone. The Barrel saunas and the Cube 210 and 250 can also have a wood-burning heater if you’d rather have fire than a plug.

Power, installation and running costs

A traditional electric sauna needs a dedicated power supply fitted by a registered electrician, and heater size (6 to 14.3 kW) depends on the model. Infrared saunas draw far less, at 1.5 to 2.4 kW. Our power and installation guide explains what your home needs, and the running costs guide shows what a session costs. Still deciding? Read the sauna buying guide or talk to the team.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a sauna cost in Ireland?

C11 saunas start from €3,850 for the Infrared 100, €6,250 for the indoor Traditional 160 and €7,800 for the outdoor Mini Cabin. The final price depends on the size, heater and finish you choose, and delivery in Ireland is €675.

Do you install saunas?

Yes. C11 installs saunas across Ireland. Every site is different, so installation is priced once we've seen your space. Talk to the team for a quote.

What power supply does a sauna need?

Traditional electric saunas use a Harvia heater of 6 to 14.3 kW depending on the model and need a dedicated supply fitted by a registered electrician. Infrared saunas use 1.5 to 2.4 kW. Our Power and Installation guide covers the details.

Do I need planning permission for a garden sauna?

In Ireland, a garden structure is often exempt from planning permission if it sits behind the front wall of the house, is under 25 square metres and stays within height limits. Rules can vary, so check with your local council before you order.

Can I get a wood-burning sauna?

Yes. The Barrel saunas and the Cube 210 and 250 are available with a wood-burning heater as well as electric Harvia heaters.

What is the difference between an infrared and a traditional sauna?

A traditional sauna heats the air and the stones with a Harvia heater, and you can pour water on the stones for steam. An infrared sauna uses full-spectrum panels that warm you more directly at a lower air temperature, and it is more compact and uses less power.

Can I control my sauna from my phone?

Yes, on selected outdoor models. The Barrel and Cube saunas are available with the Harvia Cilindro Digital + Wi-Fi heater, which you can control from your phone.

Which finishes are available?

Most C11 saunas come in a Scandi or Nero finish. The Cabin and Mini Cabin come in Nero, and the infrared saunas come in black.

Do you deliver saunas to the UK?

Yes. C11 delivers saunas across Ireland and the UK, with pound pricing for UK customers. Sauna delivery is €675 in Ireland and £570 in the UK.
