Electric or wood-burning?

An electric Harvia Cilindro heater is the easy option: set the temperature, and on the Wi-Fi version, start heating from your phone before you get home. A wood-burning heater gives a softer, traditional heat and the crackle of a real fire, and it doesn’t need a large electrical supply. Wood-burning is available on the Barrel saunas and the Cube 210 and 250.

Planning your garden sauna

An outdoor sauna needs a flat, level, solid base, such as a concrete pad or paving, and clear access for delivery. Electric models need a dedicated supply fitted by a registered electrician. In Ireland, garden structures are often exempt from planning permission if they sit behind the front wall of the house, are under 25 square metres and stay within height limits, but check with your local council before you order. Our power and installation guide covers the details, and the sauna buying guide helps you choose.

Every sauna is delivered, positioned and commissioned by our own team, anywhere in Ireland, with installation quoted separately after purchase. If you are choosing between cube, barrel and traditional, or weighing indoor against outdoor, start with the sauna buying guide.

Frequently asked questions

How much does an outdoor sauna cost in Ireland?

C11 outdoor saunas start from €7,800 for the Mini Cabin, €8,685 for the Barrel 210 and €9,285 for the Cube 160. The price depends on size, heater and finish, and delivery in Ireland is €675.

Can an outdoor sauna stay outside all year?

Yes. C11 outdoor saunas are built to stand outside all year round in the Irish weather.

Does an outdoor sauna need a base?

Yes. It needs a flat, level, solid base such as a concrete pad or paving, with clear access for delivery. The team will talk you through siting before delivery.

Should I choose an electric or wood-burning heater?

Electric Harvia heaters are easy to control, and the Wi-Fi version lets you heat the sauna from your phone. A wood-burning heater gives a traditional heat and doesn't need a large electrical supply. Wood-burning is available on the Barrel saunas and the Cube 210 and 250.

Do I need planning permission for a garden sauna?

In Ireland, a garden structure is often exempt if it sits behind the front wall of the house, is under 25 square metres and stays within height limits. Rules can vary, so check with your local council before you order.

Do you install outdoor saunas?

Yes. C11 installs outdoor saunas across Ireland. Installation is priced once we've seen your space, so talk to the team for a quote.
